The BRZ sample roaster is the smallest of the PROBAT drum roasters. However, the traditional roasting drum of the Battery Sample Roaster with Cyclone (BRZ) is swivel-mounted with a handle attached to the back for emptying into the cooling sieve positioned at the front.

The BRZ is equipped either with a gas-powered burner or an electrical heating unit, both mounted under the drum. For separation of chaff from the roasting exhaust air, the sample roaster is additionally fitted with a cyclone.

The BRZ is particularly suitable for grading green bean quality, thus providing valuable support in quality control and production development processes. As two, four or six-drum version with a batch capacity of 100 g per drum, it is an indispensable aid on farms, plantations, and in coffee roasting plants.

The sample roaster PRE/PRG (Sample Roaster Electrically or Gas-driven) is the particularly space-saving single-drum variant with an integrated chaff separation and a cooling fan.
