Vitrified Porcelain

Vitrified Porcelain is made by heating ceramic until is liquidizes before rapidly cooling it so that the transform from glass into a vitrified solid. The end result is a porcelain with added durability and very low porosity, making it more impermeable to water. This makes Vitrified Porcelain tableware very suited for liquid based dishes, or for food presentations that are accentuated by ‘floating drops’. To see how to create ‘Floating drops’, browse our Molecular Gastronomy kits.
